I’m Spock
As usual with these types of questions, there are several I had a hard time answering. But there it is.

Cheap Alternative to Netflix
If you don’t know, you can rent dvds and videos for one week for only $1–this includes one season of a TV series! The other great thing is that you can create a queue for films you want. The library will notify you when they come in, so you don’t have to keep checking your account. You also have about two weeks to pick up the films, so you don’t have to rush. Your one week doesn’t start until you pick up the film. Finally, the Hawaii public library has a decent selection of films. Here’s a link:

The Best Years of Our Lives (8/10)
Showing tonight at 9:15 on Turner Classic Network.
This is about three men coming back home from WWII. The film sort of shows the difficulties that veterans had to go through when they get back, and it’s a bit heavy-handed and propagandist, but it’s one of the films that I saw this past year that I really enjoyed. I liked the main characters, particularly Frederic March’s performance.
