Kiva.org allows you to lend small amounts of money to poor entrepreneurs around the world. I haven’t examined the program thoroughly, but it sounds good. Basically, you help someone help themselves and get your money back!

Before Seeing Watchmen…
…I’d recommend reading the graphic novel first–unless you enjoy reading novels after seeing film versions. Time picked this is one of the 100 best 20th Century novels, and that’s not so far-fetched.
